Winter is one of those seasons that evokes mixed feelings in people. Some are very happy because of the snow-white cover, others can't stand the cold.

For people who wear glasses, winter is more fog than beauty.

Going from cold to warm has always caused fogging of the dioptric glasses. Even when sipping a sip of tea, you may encounter this case. Fortunately, there are tricks to reduce this effect.

How to avoid fogged windows in winter?

Soap

One easily accessible trick is to create a protective soap filter. For starters, clean the glasses lenses very well, maybe with lukewarm water and a microfiber cloth or specialized eyeglass spray. Rub on the outer and inner surface of the lenses. You can also use liquid soap. Put a small drop of the cleaning product on both sides. After spreading the cleaner thoroughly, wait for it to dry and clean with a towel or microfiber cloth. Be very careful not to damage your windows. Once you apply a manual " anti-fog coating" the next time you switch from outside to room temperature, the fogged glass effect will be much quicker. Keep in mind that if you don't rub the soap in well, the windows may look smudged and you may not see well enough.

Shaving cream

Shaving cream has the same effect as liquid soap. But it's a product you may not have at home. Do not apply a large amount. Just a little shaving foam is enough to prevent condensation on the lenses of your glasses.

Lemon

Cut a slice of lemon and rub gently on the lenses. Wait and dry with a glasses cloth. This method is very risky as the acidity of the lemon can damage the frame. So use a small amount and watch the process carefully. On the other hand, you will get rid of the fogged glasses for a long time.

Potato

Cut off a small slice of potato and rub it on the inside of the lens. Let it dry and clean the glasses carefully. This creates a thin layer that will protect you from fogged up lenses. Repeat the procedure regularly.

Wear an accurate size mask

Given the anti-epidemic measures, wearing a mask is one of the main factors influencing the fogging of dioptric glasses. To reduce this impact, place your mask snugly against your nose. This will avoid the passage of warm air to the glasses.

Use appropriate products

If you still don't want to experiment but your glasses fog up in other circumstances because you wear them all the time. Choose good quality glasses with the right anti-fog coating. Use a specialized spray to really get the desired effect. That way, the next time you open the oven, you'll be able to see how far you've come with your cooking.
